People respect you because of you instead of your title

After working in the society for such a long time especially when yoy get older, you can observe sll kinds of people. For me, I gradually it's not important what the title you have or how much money you own.Titles, positions and fortune are the stuff which will disappear some day. The most genuine is who you are. As long as a person is confident of his job; happy with his life and satisfied with what he puts his effor for,  he can be nice and polite. Keeping a positive and enthusiastic attitude is never be overstaed.

I always enjoy watching some programs which introduce some interesting characters who live in Taiwan. They can be a organic planting farmer, a successful street vendor or a talented artist. I got inspired after knowing

their stories. What's more, they are neither rich nor famous. On the contrary, they lead an optimisc and unique life. People have to concentrate on doing what they are specialized in and treat other politely. By doing this, you can achieve confidence, wealth and happiness.

So magic!!!!

My two nephews moved to America with my sister and her husband. They came to the States at about 2 and 4 years old in 2011. I came to visit them last year. At that time, the two boys couln't use any English. More exatly, they were not willing to speak it out. They went to kndergarten and pre-school at that time. As I understood, they got some input from the all- English environment, but it's not easy  to reach the critical moment to " push the right button" of language usage. When I visited them last summer, both of my nephews just could knew bunches names of dinsaurs because they were so crazy about dinosaurs. I took my jorney again this year and something really surprised me. I could have some basic conversations with them and no matter what sentence tense and vocabulary I use, my two nephews could get my point and repond properly. Especially, the couples of boys' accent is so native. As a well-experienced English teacher, I fet SO SHOCKED.

I regretsed that I didn't recording anything last year or I am very interested indoing some kind research in this field. Anyway, I really witness the whole language immersion is so amazing. And for my sister and two nephews, I am so proud of you. The experience of overseas life is worthwhile.

Day 3-Shedd Aquarium

A Trip to Chicago form July 16th to 19th

Why can't my boy be the prince?

例如:Lion King獅子王、海底總動員、Beauty and the Beast美女與野獸......

In the summer of 2012, I took a vacation in Ann Arbor. This is a small town, but there are five libraries here. One day, I went to return books with my sister in Ann Arbor District Library. Even though the town is tiny, but the library is well-equipped. There are lots of books, modern online libray service system and some meeting rooms for group activities. My sister told me that she even borrowed 40 books once and kept renewing the books if she still needed them. My mother attended an English course in the library. In Taiwan, we hardly fing a decent library in a small town. People don't use libraries a lot in big cities, either. How to attract more parents to go into the librariy is critical to advocate reading to children.

I found some interesting story books:

Environments can make a person stronger

My sister is a working woman with two young boys.Maybe she is the youngest . so all the families support her a lot in Taiwan.

Becuase of her husband's job, she spends two years in the States with her husband and two young boys, one is 4 yearsold and the other is six.I am impressed with what she has done for the past nine months.

First, she has to take care of two young boys. I knew she put some efforts to settle down the daily schedule in order to have a good routine for young children. She found proper schools to send the boys for short time, so they have a chance to meet other racial chidren.

It's been a long time I haven't had a long vacation. I traveled abroad each yeart but alway stayed with some students in the past yers, and this brought me something unique.

I started to take study trips sinec the trip to Singapore since 2007. Being a chaperone means lots of resposi ilities, but I got a lot of chreish experiences and learned something impressive about education and language teaching. Maybe I will share this part some day. Also from taking the study trips, I stared to wite some journals for the campers' and their parents.

In the summer of 2012, I decided to give myself a break after heavy work loading and stuies.

In the evenig on July 12, I started to take my eager tripto America for 3 weeks. Befroe leaving my house, I kept checking whether I forgot anything important. It seemed to be a natural reflection from the previous study trip experience. I always prepared lots for stuff for the campers in the previous years, suh as first-aid material, stationery, gifts and other supplementary stuff. I can't get used to just packing my own luggage. "Is that all?" I wondered  so much.  Of course, I finally made sure getting ready to fly alone.
